what you pay for... Please pay with your participation and time.
Members pay thier own way on trips and activities. I.e. we share the cost of
shuttle services etc. Sometimes a request for donations to cover club costs
goes out to members. You
are not requred to donate, though any donations toward
club gear is appreciated.
Everyone is welcome to join our trips.. Just be kind to your fellow
Outdoors persons, follow "LEAVE NO TRACE" Ethics and you are welcome.
We live in the world not just the Gay world
our trips are usually 100% Gay & Lesbian , however, several members have
long time friendships with people who enjoy the outdoors , are not gay and are
not Homophobic , they are welcome on our trips.
The club has received much value in the way of efforts, time, money and
group gear of past and present members. As a member you benefit from
past Volunteers who have lead the way. The Club is as strong as you are
willing to participate, many of you have knowledge in specific
activities, parks, locations and technical knowledge, please offer some
of your time and talent.
Members can e-mail the whole group to muster up interest in an event or
Our mailing list
Just the minimum to maximize everyone's enjoyment.
PLEASE keep this site clean of materials that can be
found elsewhere. To that affect, we have had hackers in the past change some
of our links, if you see a link going to a wrong connection, PLEASE send me a
message so I can fix it.
There are times that a service provider will be providing services to
we expect them to make a living. Examples: We rent Kayak's from a Kayak
Rental Company, Travel agent taking care of bookings for an event that
requires reservations, air, hotels, cruises ect.
What do we use as criteria? 1. Is it a group event? 2. Is it a group
activity? 3. Is it group travel.
At this time, Gclub does not allow commercial e-mails, If you attempt
to Join the club under false
pretense in order to broadcast commercial e-mails you are violating
Yahoo groups, e-groups, Gclub, and INTERNIC Rules ,Policies and Ethics
and will be reported.
If you offer a service that would be of interest to Gclub members,
please send an e-mail to web host at:
We do allow links, icons, references on
the web site.
Our membership is quite diverse.
about 80% Men, 20% Ladies (We need ladies to
PARTICIPATE! The club is open to everyone)
98% Gay 2% Other.
50/50 between singles/couples
Diverse "active" subgroups. Most of our subgroups fall
into these categories: RV'er/car campers, Skiers, Divers, Backpackers,
Mountain climber/Rock climbers, Kayaker/Canoe trippers, Roller Bladers,
Bikers. We try and host both "easy" and "Intermediate" activities. We
are MUCH more CAREFUL about rating events after the first Beginning
Backpacking trip. "Just over the next hill"-String'm up!!!
Develop informational database.
Add a more "professional" feel to the club.
Eventually, get the club to a "self sustaining"
entity, presently all the costs are picked up by a few volunteers, web site
fee's, software, equipment losses/breakage...
Community presence: It would be nice to get the club to a
point that it has the foundation and assets to be supportive in the
community- Support/sponsor events for Scouting, Aids rides, etc. In the
mean time, have a nice time and enjoy many trips along the way and meet
some nice people and add to circle of friends..
